COALITION SCHEDULES PRESS CONFERENCE AND ANNUAL MEETING FOR SEPTEMBER 22

The Coalition for Family Health will hold a press conference and release of a white paper on "Access to Family Planning Resources in Ohio." The media event will be Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 10:00 AM in the Statehouse Ladies’ Gallery.

Later that day, the coalition will also hold their 2009 Annual Meeting and Luncheon at noon at the YWCA Columbus—Griswold Building—Huntington Hall Ballroom at 65 S. Fourth Street—Columbus Ohio 43215. The keynote by Crystal Ward Allen, MSW, LSW, Executive Director, Public Children Services Association of Ohio.

The Coalition for Family Health was formed in the summer of 2008 by organizations from throughout Ohio that sought a way to come together as advocates for public policies that put prevention first. The Coalition is currently composed of more than thirty organizations and is convened by the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW). With a focus on reproductive health care, the Coalition has embraced the Ohio Prevention First Act as its legislative priority.

Copies of the Coalition’s second white paper will be made available at the press conference. Coalition representatives will be available to respond to questions about the white paper as well as questions of a general nature.

The annual meeting and luncheon are free and open to the public. The full Ohio General Assembly has been invited to attend.
